EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

South West TV Based in Devon & Cornwall with a strong presence in Plymouth, with a dedicated and enthusiastic people are already behind several projects and driving forward the concept. This is an opportunity for us to support the strong and talented media sector and utilise all the locations and content that we have surrounding us within the south west.

SW TV is aiming to become one of the first TV channels to broadcast using full interactive multi-screen access. There are certain elements that we will exploit – other areas include interactivity, broadband and branding outside of the Television and the Internet. We will allow our viewers to have a multi-shop environment by selling products on the web and through our channel and direct to their mobile phones. By acting as an outlet for some manufacturers we hope this will help build our relationships with them and encourage them to become advertisers on the TV Channel and sponsor our programming.

The main focus areas of programming will be – News, Sport, Science, Natural History, Current affairs environmental, Business, Leisure and unique South West related content. Whilst we are delivering south west based - News, Films and 'Information', it will be working alongside existing organisations, businesses and individuals in order to widen our reach and further what can be achieved. We intend to create 25% of its output I its first year of broadcasting – 50% by its third year and towards 70% by year 5.
